NASA and Montana State University are ready to send loads of bacteria into the stratosphere. But don’t worry; it’s all for science.
This is the path of the 29 stations that will let loose a strong bacteria during the eclipse
Paenibacillus xerothermodurans. These bacteria form shields of spores that allow them to survive even when conditions turn deadly. It takes around 140 hours at 257 degrees Fahrenheit to kill 90 percent of these bacteria
