Here is a link to space dot com that has an infographic that exlains current thinking on how the sun’s magnetic field works. Everything is based on theory that falls apart – assumptions based on assumptions based on guesses..

It’s interesting that they say the magnetic fields of the sun swap every 11 years – or at the peak, the positive field becomes negative, and the negative field becomes positive.
What makes the poles swap places? Their theory hinges on the fields swapping polarity, but where’s the explanation for the field swapping phenomenon?
